This guide uses recipes that are yellow skill, but it doesnt use recipes which go green. I also assumed that once a skill hits yellow, it will give you a skill point for every 2 you make (also calculated the mats according to that). I attempted to create it as cheap as possible but the last points will very likely be expensive no matter what. My suggestion would be to get some thorium ore and save it for prospecting (thinking of about ~200 or so, not too hard to get)

Possibly cheaper way of getting the last levels could possibly be just crafting a huge amount of Ruby pendants of fire. This way you could simply skip all the expensive gems, but of course you would need something like 200 star rubys.

Jewelcrafting 300 to 375

300-305
Make any of the following to get to 305.
You need to make about 10-15.

Teardrop Blood Garnet (1 x Blood Garnet)
Inscribed Flame Spessarite (1 x Flame Spessarite)
Radiant Deep Peridot (1 x Deep Peridot)
Glowing Shadow Draenite (1 x Shadow Draenite)
Brilliant Golden Draenite (1 x Golden Draenite)
Solid Azure Moonstone (1 x Azure Moonstone)

305-310
Make any of the following to get to 310.
You need to make about 10-15.

Bold Blood Garnet (1 x Blood Garnet)
Luminous Flame Spessarite (1 x Flame Spessarite)
Jagged Deep Peridot (1 x Deep Peridot)
Royal Shadow Draenite (1 x Shadow Draenite)
Gleaming Golden Draenite (1 x Golden Draenite)
Sparkling Azure Moonstone (1 x Azure Moonstone)
Bright Blood Garnet (1 x Blood Garnet)

310-315
Fel Iron Blood Ring (1 x Fel Iron Bar, 2 x Blood Garnet) x 5

315-320
Make any of the following to get to 320.
You need to make about 10-15.

Runed Blood Garnet (1 x Blood Garnet)
Glinting Flame Spessarite (1 x Flame Spessarite)
Enduring Deep Peridot (1 x Deep Peridot)
Shifting Shadow Draenite (1 x Shadow Draenite)
Thick Golden Draenite (1 x Golden Draenite)
Stormy Azure Moonstone (1 x Azure Moonstone)

320-325
Azure Moonstone Ring (1 x Fel Iron Bar, 2 Azure Moonstone, 1 x Deep Peridot) x 5

325-335
Make any of the following to get to 335.
You need to make about 15-20.

Dazzling Deep Peridot (1 x Deep Peridot)
Delicate Blood Garnet (1 x Blood Garnet)
Lustrous Azure Moonstone (1 x Azure Moonstone)
Potent Flame Spessarite (1 x Flame Spessarite)
Rigid Golden Draenite (1 x Golden Draenite)
Smooth Golden Draenite (1 x Golden Draenite)
Soveriegn Shadow Draenite (1 x Shadow Draenite)
Mercurial Adamantite (4 x Adamantite Powder, 1 x Primal Earth)
I would suggest making the Mercurial Adamantite, as your going to need that next.

335-350
Heavy Adamantite Ring (1 x Adamantite Bar, 1 x Mercurial Adamantite) x 15

350-355
Make any of the following to get to 355.
You need to make about 10-15.

Luminous Noble Topaz
Lustrous Star of Elune
Potent Noble Topaz
Radiant Talasite
Rigid Dawnstone
Royal Nightseye
Runed Living Ruby
Shifting Nightseye
Smooth Dawnstone
Solid Star of Elune
Sovereign Nightseye
Sparkling Star of Elune
Stormy Star of Elune
Subtle Living Ruby
Teardrop Living Ruby
Thick Dawnstone
Bold Living Ruby
Bright Living Ruby
Brilliant Dawnstone
Dazzling Talasite
Delicate Living Ruby
Enduring Talasite
Flashing Living Ruby
Gleaming Dawnstone
Glinting Noble Topaz
Glowing Nightseye
Inscribed Noble Topaz
Jagged Talasite

Really, just make 10-15 of whatever you have the materials and recipes for. There is so much choice and it's pointless me tying you down to just one or two choices.
They all take just one of each gem, so I won't bother listing all the mats as it's pretty obvious.

355-360
Your stuck with trying to get world drop recipes here. The two most common drops are as follows:

Living Ruby Pendant (4 x Khorium Bars, 1 x Mercurial Adamantite, 1 x Living Ruby) x 5
or
Thick Felsteel Necklace (2 x Felsteel Bars, 3 x Mercurial Adamantite) x 5

The Thick Felsteel Necklace is obviously the most desirable to get, as it's the cheapest to make. There are other recipes out there to fill this levelling gap, so if you happen to get one of those, use that instead.

360-365
The next bit requires being honoured with The Sha'tar:
Ring of Arcane Shielding (2 x Eternium Bars, 8 x Primal Mana) x 5
or
You could go and farm Vekh'nir Dreadhawk's in Blade's Edge Mountains and hope the following drops:
Khorium Band of Leaves (2 x Khorium Bars, 4 x Mercurial Adamantite, 3 x Primal Life) x 5

365-375
If your raiding Kharazan and you have a lot of Alchemist transmuting Diamonds, then use those to skill up the last 10 points. There's a 60min CD on making each one, but it's still fairly easy for a raid guild's Jewelcrafting to finish skilling up on. Otherwise your stuck with using rare world drop recipes again.

365-370
Embrace of the Dawn (2 x Eternium Bars, 4 x Mercurial Adamantite, 2 x Golden Draenite) x 5
This seems to be the most common recipe on the AH. It's not cheap, but if you dont have anything else to skill up on, it's your best choice.
There are a few other rare world drop recipes that need 365 skill. So if you get any of those, then use them instead.

370-375
Of all the recipes available at 370. Probably the easiest to make is probably Figurine - Felsteel Boar, but that requires Lower City revered rep. So I'll list the next best ones in terms of rep.

Figurine - Talasite Owl (2 x Eternium Bars, 2 x Talasite, 4 x Primal Mana) x 5
Requires Sha'tar revered rep.
or
Figurine - Dawnstone Crab (4 x Khorium Bars, 2 x Dawnstones, 4 x Golden Draenite) x 5
Requires Honour Hold/Thrallmar revered rep.

Bonus to skill
You can also increase your skill level with certain racial abilities, items, and enchants. Principally the chance to skill up is based off of the characters base skill level - i.e. the skill level before the racial or item bonus. This makes it much easier to level up the skill. The Draenei Jewelcrafting skill bonus of 5, for example, means that a recipe that turned from orange to yellow at 30 for other races would not turn yellow until 35 for a Draenei jewelcrafter.
Racial profession
Certain races receive a profession skill bonus as a racial trait.
• Gnome → +15 Engineering
• Tauren → +15 Herbalism
• Draenei → +5 Jewelcrafting
• Blood Elf → +10 Enchanting
Enchants
Certain enchants give profession skill bonuses.
• Enchant Gloves - Fishing adds 2 to Fishing skill.
• Enchant Gloves - Herbalism adds 2 to Herbalism skill.
• Enchant Gloves - Mining adds 2 to Mining skill.
• Enchant Gloves - Skinning adds 5 to Skinning skill.
• Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining adds 5 to Mining skill.
• Enchant Gloves - Advanced Herbalism adds 5 to Herbalism skill.
Equipment
Certain items give profession skill bonuses.
• [Finkle's Skinner] adds +10 to Skinning skill.
• [Zulian Slicer] adds +10 to Skinning skill.
• [Goblin Mining Helmet] adds +5 to Mining skill.
• [Herbalist's Gloves] adds +5 to Herbalism skill.
• See Boosting Your Fishing Skill for a table of the many items that add to fishing skill.
These items can allow you to skin creatures with levels greater than 70, or catch fish in areas that require greater than 375 Fishing skill.

WOW Increasing skills

As you increase in a skill, more recipes reach a 0% chance to increase the skill (at this point the recipe will appear grey in the profession window). When a recipe turns green, a skill raise seldom occurs. A yellow recipe will raise the skill by roughly 50% of the number of iterations. An orange recipe always raises the skill 1 point (the exception to this rule being Skinning, wherein skinning a corpse which appears orange does not guarantee a skill increase, and often many such corpses must be skinned in order to raise the skill).
The chance of skilling up changes within a color band as well. For example, if a particular item goes from orange to yellow at 240 and from yellow to green at 255, the chance of skilling up will be almost as good as orange from 240-245, middling from 245-250, and barely better than green from 250-255. It is often beneficial to make high yellow items to skill up more cost effectively than orange items, but low yellow items should only be used if inexpensive (or if profitable!).

Herbalism Guide 1-300

Herbalism is the art of picking flowers. It is also the art of making cash, which is what we want, herbalism is one of the few professions that will lattice you money with little effort. All other professions require you spending a lot of materials to level them up, thus you need to do a lot of business to even break even.

It's highly optional that you wait until you have a mount before you start leveling herbalism seriously. Up until then just pick whatever flowers you stagger upon. In fact, forget about professions (except skinning) until you hit 55+, since you can't pick the profitable flowers until then.

The best way to level this profession is by being patient. Get a 5-10 minute route down, ride it, then log for an hour and repeat it.

1-15: Here you will collect Silverleaf and Peacebloom in the newbie zones. Easy.

15-50: Earthroot. Alliance head to Dun Morogh, Horde to Durotar. Maps:
Thottbot World of Warcraft: Earthroot

50-85: Mageroyal. Alliance head to Loch Modan/Westfall, Horde head to Barrens/Silverpine. Maps:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Mageroyal

85-150: Stranglekelp. Here you have two options: Wetlands or STV. Personally I prefer Wetlands. For Wetlands swim up and down the coast a bit out. For STV either swim up the west coast from BB to the Zandalar tribe isle or swim up and down the SE coast. Maps: STV:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Stranglekelp and Wetlands.

150-195: Liferoot. Wetlands is the best option for this part. Ride around the western swamp area; from the coast to the road leading to Dun Modr. Interspersed with the liferoot is also Kingsblood, which sells decently on AH due to it being needed for Thorium rep. Maps:
Thottbot World of warcraft:liferoot

195-235: Wintersbite. The only place for this herb is in Alterac Mountains. When coming from the south (either TM or SS), first ride through the yeti area of the mountains, then ride through the ogre stronghold and finally ride through the ogre part of the mountains. Log and wait 30-60 mins, then repeat in reverse order. This part is pretty quickly done. Maps:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Blindweed

235-270: Blindweed. I prefer using Swamp of Sorrows for this part, since you can get a nice pattern going easily. Simply circle the central lake, log 30 mins and repeat. Alternatively ride back and forth through the northern part of the swamp. Maps:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Blinweed

270-300: Dreamfoil. This is the reason you level herbalism. Dreamfoil is used extensively in all the top alchemy recipes and sells for a pretty penny. .75-1.5G per flower depending on server. There are three main places for this herb: Azshara, Felwood or Un'goro. Try all three places and find the least camped one. Dreamfoil grows in open spaces, so stay away from rocky areas. However, Mountain Silversage (used in health pots), grows in mountains, so find a few spawn points of this herb and ride past them on your rounds.
Of the three Un'goro seems to be the least camped...but again it varies with server. Personally I use Azshara to pick my Dreamfoil and it works quite well.

Maps:
Azshara:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Dreamfoil
Felwood:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Dreamfoil
Un'goro:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Dreamfoil

Other herbs worth picking:

Icecap: Used in flasks and mana pots. Only grows in Winterspring in open areas. Heavily camped. Maps:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Icecap

Mountain Silversage: Used in Mongoose pots and health pots. Grows in mountaneous regions. Un'goro is the spot for this herb. Alternatively Winterspring if you are after Icecap.Maps: Un'Goro:
Thottbot World of warcraft:Silversage and WS: Thottbot World of Warcraft:Mountain Silversage

Plaguebloom: Used in Mongoose pots and various elixirs. Grows in both plaguelands and Felwood. Maps: EPL:
Thottbot World of Warcraft:Plaguebloom and WPL: Thottbot World of Warcraft:Plaguebloom and Felwood: Thottbot World of Warcraft:Plaguebloom

Gromsblood: Used in Flask of the Titans. Grows in Desolace, Felwood and Blasted Lands. Maps:
Thottbot world of Warcraft:Gromsblood

And there you have it. Herbalism is very good money with very little authentic work. You only have to ride around When you decide to sell your gatherings, check your AH first and undercut a bit. If the bottom drops out of the market, jsut wait a few days and stockpile in the meanwhile, then sell when prices move back up.
